Thank you for purchasing Professional Draw V3.0. May we remind you
to return the registration card. This will enable you to take full

- Hard disk installation instructions.
- Addendum to the Manual.
Instructions for Installing Professional Draw V3.0 on a Hard Disk:
==================================================================
WARNING
To guard against damage to your diskettes, please write-protect
them before proceeding. Move the small plastic slider so that
light can be seen through the hole.
If, while installing Professional Draw, you are told that one
of the Professional Draw diskettes is write-protected,
DO NOT
enable it. Instead, hit the CANCEL button on the requester,
Abort and restart the installation, this time choosing a
destination on your hard drive.
Version 1.3 or higher of the mWorkbench software must be installed
on your Amiga in order for this installation procedure to work
correctly.
Many users can install Professional Draw in the SYS: partition of
their hard disks. This is where the mSystem, mUtilities, mPrefs, and
other standard drawers can be found. If the Workbench only shows you
one disk icon for your hard drive, then this is the place to install
Professional Draw.
Some users, however, will not have enough room in the SYS: partition.
Owners of Amiga 2500's, especially, will likely have a very small boot
partition and other, larger, partitions on which their programs and
data files are stored. These users should install Professional Draw
on one of their larger partitions.
The installation procedure for Professional Draw is now done through
the new
Commodore installer
utility. To install Professional Draw
double click on the install_pdraw icon and follow the directions. if
you need help installing Professional Draw click on the installer's
Help button or refer to the Professional Draw 3.0 manual.
Unlike previous installation procedures, the mPDraw drawer is
NOT automatically created for you. Instead the program and data files
are put DIRECTLY in the drawer you select. In most cases you will want
to create a new drawer for Professional Draw. To do this simply select
the mCreate New Drawer... button when asked where you want
Professional Draw installed.
Addendum to the Manual:
========================
In your Professional Draw 3.0 package you will receive a Professional Draw
version 3.0 supplement manual which describes all the new features added
since version 2.0. This also includes a full description of all Function
Genies.
Changes to Professional Draw 3.0 since the manual was printed:
- OBJECT LAYERING
Objects can be easily moved forward or back through the layers on the
page by first selecting the object(s) and typing 'B' to send the
object(s) back one level, or 'F' to bring the object forward one level.
- CHANGE TO THE FUNCTION GENIE: ObjectToLayer
The operation of the Genie mObjectToLayer when asking you to
enter the numeric value of the new layer has been changed to ask for
a mouse click on the object where the selected objects are to be layered
behind.
